When I lived in Whitehorse, Yukon, I would sometimes head north up the Klondike Highway to Dawson City. From there, I might head even farther north up the Dempster Highway to the small town of Inuvik in the North West Territories. In August, the colours would start to change and this was one of my favourite times to travel the Dempster.
